The Winco up here in Rocklin (A Sacramento Suburb) had some beef with Mad Cow within it. It was on the shelf for quite a long time I heard. At least two months. Just thought i’d toss you some FYI. It takes 3 years to develop symptoms of Mad Cow though, so at least you’d have time to sue winco for everything each employee owning stockholder had. =)
Has there been any controversy surrounding your Winco, Jeff? The one in here in Antelope, CA (not far from Casey’s Rocklin, actually) was a big deal for years because it’s of its non-union operations. I haven’t been by in a while, but I think the picketers only recently gave up after years of yelling at people driving into the parking lot.
Well this store has only been open for a few months, but there’s no sign of protestors. As for mad cow, I’m not worried about that. I think I’m more likely to get killed by an SUV driving to the store to buy the mad cow beef!
(I can’t believe that I’m down to discussing grocery stores here)
Pardon my ignorance, but what does “Mechanically Separated Chicken have to do with shopping at Winco and planting some flowers in your yard? I just can’t make a connection. Am I missing something?
Oh, I forgot to mention that I saw a box of mechnically separated chicken in the meat dept. of Winco. The name was so good that I had to save it for later.

I’m with you on the threat of being hit by a SUV in the parking lot. Especially if she has 4 kids in the car and is talking on her cell phone.
