I had an e-mail discussion with one of my cohorts in the digital camera news. We’re both tired of how we’re treated by the camera manufacturers. This includes poor communication, last minute press releases, and product loans of 1-2 weeks. The various sites provide these companies with millions of dollars of advertising at no cost to them (at least, I hope not), yet they treat us quite poorly in return. I’m not sure that giving them the middle finger is the answer… but I think all of us camera site editors would agree that they need to do a better job at working with us.
