What a disaster. The fog rolled in thick and you couldn’t see much. Some people left early, others cheered at the illegal fireworks being fired off, and I stood there just hoping the fog would clear for a few good pictures. Unfortunately that never happened.
My next opportunity for fireworks is next weekend at Cornfest in Brentwood. Yes, a corn festival.
Update: A few more pictures are on this page.

    • I know you are disappointed about the fog, but that blue firework picture is pretty cool.

    • The fact that you came out of that with a good picture is a testament to your skills as a photographer. :) Are you sure you didn’t photoshop that one in? ;-)

    • Nope, no magic tricks. I got a few more photos that I’ll post later.

    • The purple one is, IMHO, better off with fog than without. Round here, it rained the 3rd and the 4th so we didnt even have fireworks.

    • What do you mean with “illegal fireworks”?

    • You’re not supposed to have your own fireworks. They’re illegal almost everywhere around here.

    • I don’t know if it’s just me, but I really think the blue one should do better without the fog. That picture just looks too dark for my taste.

    • Hey Jeff, don’t feel so down, here in San Jose they didn’t even bother dimming the street lights. Everything I got was flooded with white. There’s always Disneyland =).

    • That blue shot looks like something out of a Sci-Fi movie. Very nice. The best I’ve is a fire burst looking thing from Wishes! at WDW.
      Had a nice Fourth?
