Fireworks, San Francisco style
Posted on July 5th, 2004 9 comments

What a disaster. The fog rolled in thick and you couldn’t see much. Some people left early, others cheered at the illegal fireworks being fired off, and I stood there just hoping the fog would clear for a few good pictures. Unfortunately that never happened.
My next opportunity for fireworks is next weekend at Cornfest in Brentwood. Yes, a corn festival.
Update: A few more pictures are on this page.9 responses to “Fireworks, San Francisco style”

I know you are disappointed about the fog, but that blue firework picture is pretty cool.

The fact that you came out of that with a good picture is a testament to your skills as a photographer.
Are you sure you didn’t photoshop that one in?

Nope, no magic tricks. I got a few more photos that I’ll post later.

The purple one is, IMHO, better off with fog than without. Round here, it rained the 3rd and the 4th so we didnt even have fireworks.

You’re not supposed to have your own fireworks. They’re illegal almost everywhere around here.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I really think the blue one should do better without the fog. That picture just looks too dark for my taste.

Hey Jeff, don’t feel so down, here in San Jose they didn’t even bother dimming the street lights. Everything I got was flooded with white. There’s always Disneyland =).

That blue shot looks like something out of a Sci-Fi movie. Very nice. The best I’ve is a fire burst looking thing from Wishes! at WDW.
Had a nice Fourth?
