Posted on June 2nd, 2005 4 commentsThe house down the street from me which is the same as mine is for sale for $650,000. Now she put $180k in upgrades into it, but still! I’m going to watch this one closely as soon it will be time to sell mine.

Didn’t you say you paid in the 300k range for your house just two years ago? That’s some serious equity!

I paid $350k which included $30k in upgrades. The person down the street works for the builder so I think she got 50% off on upgrades. I’m guessing she paid around $400k for her place. I expect to get at least $150k out of selling my place. Just what I need for a downpayment on the next one!

Hey Jeff,
Got the itch to move,huh? Real estate is just bonkers all over the U.S. The market here in Southern Nevada has gone through the roof! Waiting lines for new homes,auctions,etc. Homes in my neighborhood (8 and 9 years old) are going for around tripple what they were bought for back then.Nuts,huh?

House prices over here in the UK are also insane, especially for what you get for your money. A 5 bedroom house just down the road from me would cost approx
