Not fancy lenses, Expensive and very heavy ones… you could buy a house in Kansas for what those beast cost.
-
Are they lending you the one that actually *does* cost as much as a house (1200 f5.6)? That would be exciting…
-
Nah, I don’t think it’ll be anything like that. Maybe a 400 or something… though more would be nice!
-
You could get a 5″ Orion Muk-Cat ($500) and hook the D60 to it (assuming you still have it) – those are 1540mm F12.1, great optical quality, come with an erecting prism, manual focus of course, but you could always prefocus it. And I bet you’d be the only photographer there with a sparkly maroon lens!

Mayhap I should include a link: http://www.telescope.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=372&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=4&iSubCat=10&iProductID=372&relateInfo=1&add=yes#tabLink It has T-threads on the prism, so all you need is a standard T-mount adapter.

And I meant Mak-Cat not Muk-Cat… not sure if there’s such a thing as a Muk-Cat but if there is thats not what I meant.
