  • El Paso trip photos – part 1

It’s photo time! These are from last week’s trip to Texas and New Mexico.

Since I took so many photos I’m breaking them into two parts. These are the relatively boring ones showing La Mesilla, the White Sands Missile Range, and the Inn of the Mountain Gods. Read my recent entries to find out more about all these places.

Enjoy part 1 of my photos, all of which were taken with my Canon EOS-20D!

    Trip to La Mesilla, NM

Organ Mountains as seen from Las Cruces

One of three piranhas in this tank

Dusk at La Posta, where we had a tasty Mexican dinner.

Awesome post-sunset view of the Rio Grande in NM

    White Sands Missile Range

Organ Mountains from the other side

The sign says what this is… obviously not the actual bomb but it was used for development I think

    Patriot Missile

    Yes, they do exist!

Front of the hotel with Sierra Blanca in the background

Panoramic view of the back of the place which sits on…

    … this lake!

    Don’t miss part 2!

    • Great photos, Jeff! What lense do you usually use when you are taking photos? Love the white sand photos, it looks like snow! :)

    • I used the kit lens (18-55) for all the photos…

    • WOW!!! I’ve always wanted to go to New Mexico and looking at this pictures makes me want to go even more. Nice post-sunset picture of the Rio Grande.
