Sigh of relief

I’ve been so stressed out about my new house ever since I got the total repair bill from the various inspectors. Between the balcony replacement, roof repairs, and minor electrical work that needed to be done, the bill totaled over $21,000. The deck was especially appalling, as their inspectors missed this very obvious problem.
Jumping ahead a few stressful days… yesterday I told the sellers that I wanted money back from them — $12,500 to be exact. I’ve spent the last 24 hours totally nervous, afraid that they’d give me less than that — or nothing (they’re certainly not obligated). Imagine my relief when I got a message from my realtor saying that they agreed to pay the $12,500 that I asked for… I was so happy. Now I can spend that money on more important things — like new toilets!
