Not my idea of a fun New Year’s Eve

Wow, this sucks. And no, this is not my house.

Yesterday was pretty much a nightmare. The huge winter storm that blew into the area late Friday night knocked out my power at 4:45am — it was not restored for 24 hours. Trees fell, power lines were down, roads were either flooded or blocked by trees. The main road in and out of my part of Montclair was first underwater, then covered by debris. A house nearby has a huge tree through the side of it. It really looks like a warzone… like nothing I’ve seen before.

Yes, it looks like a forerunner of Katrina. Luckily, you house did not suffer any damage!
