Friday night fun
Posted on March 24th, 2006 2 commentsI can’t think of anything I’d rather do on Friday night than change a tire. In the dark. In the pouring rain. But that’s just what I did tonight. It started out innocently enough. I was going to stop in at a local cafe to do some work at the gym. While parallel parking I hit the curb — evidently at the wrong angle. When I got out of the car, the tire was losing air fast, and it was flat in about three minutes. So, I changed the tire. This was the first time I’ve ever done it by myself, and I pulled it off. A lady who lived nearby came out with a flashlight to help out, and I’m grateful for her help. So, the car is back in action, and I have a tire to replace.
I seem to be cursed with flat tires lately… I’ve had like four in the last year (on two different cars).2 responses to “Friday night fun”

Americas Tire Store’s fix
flats for Free, I went there
with a nail in my tire and
they fixed it and checked the
air pressure and another tire
had low reading and it had
a nail also, offered to pay
for the fix, but they said
no we fix flats for free.
When I need new tires I’ll
go to them. Check it out. -
and you passed your curse to me… I got a flat later the day I read that, in the dark and freezing cold (though fortunately not rain).
