Europe Trip Day 5: Dubrovnik
Posted on July 12th, 2006 8 comments
Dubrovnik, Croatia is a photographer’s delight. This ancient Mediterranean
walled city has marble streets and buildings with red tile roofs. You can
walk around the whole city via the wall, which is over a mile long I believe.
And that’s exactly what we did after we arrived.Click the link to see a ton of photos from this amazing city.

View of Dubrovnik from our ship

The clocktower is pretty fancy… it even has a "digital" clock!

Proof that I’m actually there

Now we’re up on the wall
Looking back down the main street
Artsy shot
I like this one

Love this one… and no, this isn’t Santorini — that’s later.

Like this one a lot too

Another favorite… what can I say, it was a good day for pictures

That’s cool. I was in Dubrovnik a year ago and took my photographs at mostly the same spots. But I had to do it the old fashion way and drive for 24 hours from my homeland of Poland to beautiful Croatia.
Greetings from Los Angeles. -
I’m loving all these pictures. Judging from yours and other photos I’ve seen from Crotia, I would definitely second it as being a photographer’s paradise. Beautiful.
I love the next to the last picture, but it makes me a little dizzy just trying to imagine how you got that shot! -
I’m really enjoying your vacation photos… and am checking in every day for the latest.
What lenses did you bring with you? -

Really enjoying your pix, but isn’t this becoming a bus-man’s holiday?
Have a great vacation! -
>>> Hey Jeff, actually what equipment r u using?
He said in a post on day 3 that he is using a Canon EOS 20D with a 17-85 mm lens.
If I know Jeff (which I don’t!) my guess is that he took more than just one lens with him on this trip.
It’s been a couple of days since he posted an update. I wonder what happened. Let’s hope he didn’t run out of money to pay for that expensive Internet access onboard the ship!
