Europe Trip Day 13: Budapest by night
Posted on July 21st, 2006 3 comments
After a long wait in the Rome Airport, I made it to Budapest last night. The
city is big, beautiful, and HOT. Right about now I could use a trip to the
Swiss Alps!I’ve got two sets of photos from my first 24 hours here. This entry has the
night photos from last night.
Chain Bridge with the Buda Castle in the background

Now we’re up in the Castle area
Matthias Church

Nice view of Parliament building
Looking toward Chain Bridge
My friend Tibor says the President lives here
Here is the castle itself
The Chain Bridge and Parliament from another angle
My night photos end with a look at the National Theater and the Palace of ArtFor what it’s worth, I didn’t use a tripod for any of these.

Jeff,
That’s EXACTLY the information I was looking for on the Canon 17-85 IS lens. I’m sold. -
yeah…. I agree with Maria, we have lots of things to show you in Spain, but I’m glad your having a nice time in our old continent
.
The IS in the Canon lens is pretty amazing… (but I imagine it’s also a very fast lens (maybe f2.8) and a DSLR at ISO1600 is quite usable, specially when you downsize your pictures for web purposes).
In five days I’ll be in Disneyland Resort Paris… I still feel envy of your great trip Jeff (sane envy of course
), but a little bit less now that I’m heading to my vacation.
Enjoy as much as you can Jeff!
