Really amazing inside here
Here’s where the parliament actually meets
This is the synagogue in Budapest. It was closed when we arrived so we’ll have
to try again another day.
Here’s a view from the Citadel
Not the right time of day for this shot

Budapest is a really nice city. I enjoyed every minute being there for 3 whole days on a business trip a few years ago.

As you are going to Vienna, perhaps you could spare a day and visit Bratislava, too. It’s just 40 miles away, the capital of Slovakia, my city.

As you are in Budapest, you should pay a visit to Tesarske Mlynany in Slovakia, about 80km north from Budapest. There are beautyful gardens as oposit to your building pictures. See the web: http://www.arboretum.sav.sk/index2.htm for more details. Except the girls, there is nothing worth to take pictures of in Bratislava.

With the weather being so hot here now, the best way to spend the evenings is to sit out in an open-air pub or similar establishment. Just wanted to let you know that in the Zöld Pardon, a leafy and youthful place at the Buda bridgehead of Petőfi híd, the alternative rock band PUF are to play Monday evening at 8pm. They were formed 20+ years ago but are still going strong. There’s no better way of getting to know the soul of modern Hungarians than through their music, even if you don’t understand a word of what they are singing. I’ll be there with a friend – can meet up beforehand if you care to join us, so drop me a line if interested! Not sure though the bouncers will let your camera in…
