Posted on August 18th, 2009 1 commentBecause this is the only time I’ll ever praise a credit card company. Since I bought my now stolen bicycle with my Visa Signature card, I had theft/damage protection on it. I filed a claim (paperwork, yay) and they just cut me a $500 check (the maximum), which covers 2/3 of the cost of my bike! Thank you Visa and Chase!

Great for you! My first digital camera (a Polaroid, one of the first on the market) was stolen from my car day after I bought it. My homeowner’s insurance had a $250 deductable, so I got zip. I think the credit card company did not cover losses from locked vehicles.
