Because everyone else is doing it…
Diet rut
Last fall I started dieting, with the hopes of losing about 35 pounds in total. The first twenty came off easily, but the last 15 are proving to be very difficult.
Not so much because WeightWatchers doesn’t work, but because it’s becoming so hard to stay on track week after week. If you go out to eat twice a week (and don’t order carefully), there goes any wight loss for the week. This last week I totally fell off the wagon, and two weeks worth of dieting were lost. This on/off problem has kept me at roughly the same weight for months.
I also wonder, if and when I reach my goal weight, how on earth I’m going to keep it off. I certainly can’t go back to eating what I want. I’m either going to have to continue watching what I eat, start going to the gym a lot more often, or something in-between. I wish I had the metabolism of those skinny people who seem to be able to eat whatever they’d like.

The bad news is you always have to pay attention. The better news is that it becomes easier and more second nature as time goes on.
