Super Harvest Moon
Sep 22nd
There was a “Super Harvest Moon” tonight, so I grabbed my tripod and cameras and went to the highest spot I could find in the Oakland Hills. Here are some of my favorite photos, all but one of which was taken with the Canon PowerShot G12. The one taken with the PowerShot SX30 IS is pretty obvious!
Finally, some new pics

I spent my Labor Day driving down the Mendocino and Sonoma County coastline. It was a beautiful day, with no fog in sight, which is quite unusual for up there (it was pretty hot at home, too). I started in Point Arena and worked my way all the way down to Bodega bay, before crossing back over to the southern end of Petaluma. Here are my favorite photos from the day, all taken with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5.
- Fabulous Boonville
- Point Arena Lighthouse
- Old fresnel lens
- View from below lighthouse
- People coming up the stairs
- Lighthouse from a distance
- Forest of seaweed
- Beautiful coastline
- It was a clear, warm day
- Fields of grass (and bugs)
- Gualala River
- Tall cliffs
- Jenner
- Somewhat artsy B&W
