A day made for ice cream

I cannot believe how hot it was today. At one point the thermometer in my car said 92 degrees. This isn't in Brentwood, this was in San Francisco! Unbelievable.

I took my laptop to Maxfield's House of Caffeine right near Mission Dolores to do some work. It was sweltering in there, to say the least.

After getting some work done, I met my overworked friend Willo to retrieve the Canon SD500 that she's been testing out while I've been reviewing other things. After some chit chat, we headed over to Mitchell's for some ice cream. I dropped her off to get a place in line while I parked the car. When I got back to the store, they were on number 94. We had number 14. You do the math. The ice cream, of course, was worth the wait. They were out of both my favorite flavor as well as my second choice, so coffee ice cream it was. And it was damn good.

After Willo and I parted ways, my friend Marc and I hit The Last Supper Club on Valencia St. It was pretty good -- not fabulous, but I'd probably go back. Since I already had one dessert, I called it a night after my main course.

During dinner we spoke about this printer site that I've been wanting to do forever. The biggest question is: how can we pull it off without going crazy? Second question: what to do with my camcorder site that hasn't really taken off? I need to answer those before this other site can move forward.

Supposedly it will be cooler tomorrow. One of these days I'm going to take some photos in downtown Brentwood, as its really beautiful right now.

Why do you think your camcorder site didn't take off?
If I had to guess, I'd say that you did not have nearly as much time for dvspot as you have for dcresource. Less reviews, less readers, maybe less advertisements... I for one enjoy dvspot a lot, but I would like to see more reviews.

A while ago, you posted that you were thinking about hiring some helpers, but you were afraid DC Resource would lose its identity. How about hiring someone to run dvspot? With a dedicated person the site could take off; and the identity crisis should be less of an issue, since it's not been your main project anyway.

Of course this is only speculation on my side. Maybe the reasons for dvspot being weak are others. Anyway, I thought I would throw my $0.02 ;).
