Palo Alto Concours D'Elegance

| | Comments (4)

My dad and I did one of those "father-son" things today when we visited the Palo Alto Concours D'Elegance on the Stanford campus. Basically this is when poor people pony up $20 (for charity) to see rich people's cars. And there was some nice stuff! Click the link to see some pictures I took with my 20D.

Mercedes CLS55 AMG -- big hit!

Hood ornament from a Pierce Arrow. Look for more of these on this page.

Car, or coffin on wheels?

Back of the Porsche Carrera GT

Jaguar XK150

Lots of E-type Jags

Not one, not two, but three gullwing Mercedes!

I'll take any Ferrari, really...

This motorcycle just cracked me up... can you actually ride this thing?

This Lamborghini can be yours for only...

... three times my mortgage payment!!

Aston Martin

More hood ornaments

Artsy shot through the porthole on a T-bird

Even more hood ornaments

Check out the weird door on this Kaiser

Who are they kidding?

Loads of Cobras

My dad used to have an AC very much like this one

Love the SLR...

This one's for Mark

Two of three Ford GTs that we saw

This isn't a car, but I liked this building enough to snap a picture of it. It's part of Stanford Med School.

You sure have taken some great photos lately! I'm not a huge car fan, but these are great. I like the hood ornaments.

Thanks. While I enjoy taking photos unrelated to work, lately I've been doing this to escape the often solitary world of self-employment. Though I often have someone with me on these shoots, I'm usually the only one taking pictures. I wish I knew some people out here that wanted to go out and explore new places to shoot.

I usually am the only one taking photos when I photograph as well. I go photograph on a weekly basis, and am always looking for new places to go shoot. :)

Thanks for including my 1937 Cadet Grey Cord in these great pictures.
