Fall in the Napa Valley
![]()
Today I went to the Napa Valley with my folks and my aunt (who is visiting from NYC). The weather was amazing considering the date, with temperatures in the low 80s. Click the link to see a few pics from our day.
On the way back, we ended up behind an obviously drunk driver. After following him for several miles (didn't have a lot of choice, as traffic was a mess) I decided to report him. So, I called 911 on my cell phone (boy did that feel weird) and after five minutes of waiting on hold (!) I gave the operated the details. I hope they got him before he injured or killed anyone, because he was all over the place (at one point, he almost drove under a big rig).

V. Sattui winery -- where I've been many times -- is a great place for a picnic (as long as its their food you're eating)
Entrance to Sterling Vineyards. You actually take a gondola to the winery, which is situation on a hilltop
Huge oak barrels at Sterling. I had no idea that they "cook" the barrels in order to get certain flavors out of them.
Castello di Amorosa is the new over-the-top champion in the Napa Valley. It costs $30 to tour and taste at this place on weekends. I thought I was at Medieval Times!
That's all, folks!

Jeff,
Great photos of Napa Valley! If you're ever in the San Diego area, may I suggest you visit the wineries at Temecula.
