Buying locally
I need a FourThirds telephoto lens to test with my Panasonic digital SLR (the company can't seem to get me one), and I need it now. I'd like to walk into a store, buy a fairly inexpensive lens, charge it on the DCRP AMEX card, and be on my way. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be possible. These days, the only places to buy those kinds of things are Best Buy and Circuit City, and they have a piss-poor selection of SLR lenses in stock. I'd go to a camera store, but I only know of two decent ones in the entire Bay Area, neither of which are close to home.
What is instant gratification so difficult these days?
Update: Drove all over the Bay Area and manged to find a lens at the second Fry's I visited. Naturally, it's totally foggy tonight, so I could've ordered the darn thing online and saved all the driving.
