After a solo trip to the house last week, this time I brought the parents. The big news this week: my roof is on!
Now it's really starting to look like something!
This is the big window in front of the 3rd bedroom (office). The front door is to the right.
Ohh, the underside of the roof! Yes I'm really stretching for pictures this week.
Here's the back. It looks like they may still give me a extra sliding glass door (left), in addition to the standard one (right). We'll see next time if they change it.
The house next door is coming along nicely.
As are the other houses next to mine (left).
The similar model a couple of houses down is just about finished.
Man's best friend in Brentwood. This is the upgraded 12 SEER air conditioner that I did not get. Mine is smaller.
I have been impressed with how cool the houses are once they have their windows and walls in... hopefully this will keep my A/C bills down.
Finally, a little bonus. I took this from the development across the street, on a (large) vacant lot. This is four photos that I stitched into one. You can see the Deer Ridge and Shadow Lakes golf courses and housing developments. My house is marked in the full-size image (click to see it), if you can spot it. Mt. Diablo is at the far right.
Next trip to Brentwood will be for my framing inspection... so more pictures then!
