New House Journal

Today I took a "day off" from the work routine. I figured that something new must be going on with my future home... and I was right!
As you can see, the plumbing and stuff is installed and it's nearing time for them to pour the foundation! When that happens, I have to go back out for an inspection.
The house next door (plan 4) is coming along well. The rooms that are up against my house are their living room, dining room, and kitchen. Thankfully the family room is on the other side.
There aren't many other one story houses on my street. Here's one a few lots down... this is a plan 2 model, which is a little bigger than mine.
If you've been following my journal, you know this is the house on lot 1. The window coverings have been installed (lots of plantation shutters) and it's almost ready for move-in. She has a smaller backyard but a huge front/side yard.
I stuck the camera over the fence to see if they installed the rear landscaping yet. Obviously not. Though here you can see the location of the A/C unit, the hose bib, and a lamp. Note also the window coverings... I have those for my office.
To close out this entry I leave you with a nice shot of Mt. Diablo and the open space that lies at the end of my block. Until next time!
