Well, today was the big day -- upgrade-picking day! It was funny because the woman who was helping me choose them is the one buying the heavily-upgraded house on lot #1!

Anyhow, a review of the flooring, which made up the majority of my upgrades:

Here is the standard cabinet, plus the tile and carpet of choice. Ignore the stuff under the X, I'm not getting that.

Here are the faux plantation shutters that I got for the office (bedroom 3). These are extremely expensive for fake shutters! But they look cool.

So, here's the grand total... I spent nearly $30,000 on upgrades! And here is exactly what I got:

• Garage - keyless entry pad
• Rear landscaping (450 sqft of grass, 12x15 concrete patio)
• Clear glass for master bath shower
• Full splash kitchen tile
• Recessed lighting in three rooms (master, bedroom 3, family room)
• Lighting fixture for bedroom 2
• Basic structured wiring
• Interior wall insulation
• Plantation shutters (vinyl) for bedroom 3
• Window coverings for everywhere else (wood blinds plus vertical blinds in kitchen)
• Dishwasher upgrade
• Vented hood upgrade
• Carpet + pad upgrade
• Tile in family room, entry, kitchen (see picture above)
• Different tile in other bathrooms, laundry room

That's it!! Now they just have to build it. It's a long time until October!
