Jeff's New House Journal
October 5, 2003

My sister was in town, and hasn't seen the house yet, so off we went. I was shocked to see the front door open -- the place wasn't even locked!

It's painted! Woohoo! Now where's my roof??

You know you've hit the suburbs when you have a lighted address number!

Inside the super family room.. no more paper on the floor. The tile looks nice, though the walls are beat up and dirty from all the construction. They're going to have to clean this place before my final walkthrough in a few weeks!

In the kitchen, you can see that my plugs and light switches are in, as is the sink.

And here it is, the kitchen sink!

In my future office, they've installed the closet doors (more or less).

My toilets are here too, and you just knew that I was going to take pictures of them. Here's the one in bathroom 2.

Here's the one in the throne room. This is the extended, high power toilet.

The shower door has been installed. Believe it or not, the clear glass was an upgrade!

The mirror, light bar, and medicine cabinet are also in the bathrooms.

The Home Director box is full of wires.

This is a lamp that I had installed in bedroom 2 (the guest room). They actually forgot to prewire for it, but we caught it during the inspection a month or two ago. The recessed lighting in the other rooms was also installed.

Here's the behind the house view. I'm not thrilled about having the A/C unit right outside my bedroom window.

The house next door is complete.

Looking down the block the other way. My house is on the left.

I keep saying that "this is my last trip", and then I drive back out there, so I'll shut up. I got my 30 day notice last week, so I'm getting really close! Lots of scary loan stuff to take care of first, though.
