Fleet Week 2000
[October 6-9, 2000]
Fleet Week is one of my favorite events that I look forward to each year. This year, I was lucky enough to tour a real nuclear submarine, which was well worth the three hour wait!
One of the big highlights is seeing the Blue Angels perform. They got "fogged out" the first day, and I missed them the second day, but not the third! You can see below that I took quite a few pictures of them!
These were taken mostly with a Canon PowerShot G1 digital camera, and the last three are from the Fuji FinePix 40i.
Enjoy! And if you can help identify any of this ships that I couldn't, drop me an e-mail!

| Not sure of the name of this ship. | Or this one, but I think it's an Aegis class cruiser. | An F/A-18 Hornet buzzes the ships in the bay. |

| Again... | Up he goes... | Here comes an F-14 Tomcat with wings back and full afterburners. |

| A very noisy hovercraft. | USS Constellation (aircraft carrier) | The USS Hornet, now a museum in Alameda, CA. |

| Hornet | USS Key West, a Los Angeles class fast attack sub. | A shot from on the sub! A very cool tour!! |

|
| "Fat Albert", a C-130, flew around the bridge! It probably wasn't as close as it looked! | Lots of Blue Angels pictures follow! | |
