Seattle Trip Photos
[03/24/2000 - 03/26/2000]
Dad and I took off to the Seattle area for a little R&R recently. Just coincidentally, it was the same weekend that the Kingdome was being imploded -- just my luck! Amazingly, it didn't rain at all on us -- amazing!
Below see my photos and commentary from around the Seattle area.
All of these photos were taken with the Casio QV-3000EX digital camera, in "fine" mode. Be sure to read the DCRP review of this camera for more information.

We're on board the Washington State Ferry "Sealth" (no, not Stealth) on the way to Bremerton. Looking back, you can see the Kingdome on the left, and the really ugly Safeco Field to the right.
Part of the Seattle skyline.
A little further away...
Now looking more northwards, towards the Space Needle.
Here's dad in the snow at Hurricane Ridge, Olympic National Park. We were promised a panoramic view, and only got snow and clouds.
Here's a black-tailed deer we saw on the way back down.
Now we're on the way to Marymere Falls, near Crescent Lake. This is an old growth rain forest which is really neat.
And here's Marymere Falls!
... and the river that results from it
Here's a look at the beautiful Crescent Lake -- really nice and peaceful.
Another black-tailed deer near the lake.
Proof that it's not easy taking a long exposure shot on a moving ferry boat!
Watch the Kingdome go bye-bye, plus see some jets on page two
