Disney's Port Orleans Resort

This was my fourth trip to WDW -- each time I've stayed somewhere different. I've been to the Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Wilderness Lodge, and now the Port Orleans. I'd say the Wilderness Lodge is my favorite, but it's a lot more expensive than the other three. The Port Orleans has a striking resemblance to New Orleans Square at Disneyland.

The main problem I had with the PO is the bus transportation. The station was close to my room (in building 6), and I always got a seat on the bus. But the problem was, the buses then go to the Dixie Landings, and stop 4 times once there. It adds quite a bit of travel time to your journey to a park. Once you leave the Dixie Landings, everything is convenient. I'd bring a car if I stayed here.

Here's the central courtyard near the lobby and food court. I didn't eat on the property so I can't vouch for the restaurants.
Everything was all done up for the holidays... kind of a "Cajun Christmas" if you will.
Here's a cute intersection near my room.
Lots of musical alligators around here...
Just up the river to the north is the Dixie Landings... that place is huge! To the south lies Downtown Disney.
